For over 50 years Stapleton Technologies has been pursuing coating technologies that are based on autocatalytic processes (electroless) technologies.  These technologies have produced a family of products and services that form the core products delivered by Stapleton.

Autoactalytic (electroless) Nickel

This technology was developed in 1960 and provided the initial success of the company through the supplying of job shops in the Los Angeles area.  Soon, job and captive shops across the country were using STABUFF.

Over the years several processes were developed including the ENFINITY series which extended the solution life to over 8000 MTOs and winning an R&D 100 Award in 1994.  Some processes were patented while others evolved into high purity semiconductor processes.

Semiconductor Processes

These processes extend the capabilities of autocatalytic processes by formulating the processes with ultra high purity chemicals and highly controlled systems to achieve CMOS grade materials.  These processes provide for nickel, cobalt, gold, palladium, copper and tin deposition without the use of electrical fields along with a number of high purity electrolytic processes.

Processes are formulated to have less than 1ppm Na, K, and Li in the working process and packaged with 0.1um filter and particle counted <10  @ 0.5um.

Nano Coatings

These processes represent the next generation of coatings and are characterized by controlling the molecular structure through the use of organic additives, forcing the metalization process to produce a specific structure.

The photo at the right is a fractal palladium deposit that provides for a fern like structure for hydrogen sensors and catalytic systems.
